About

Caroline Jones is a Mornington Peninsula based jeweller and silversmith

She has worked in the industry since 2005, when she completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Monash University, majoring in Metals and Jewellery, with a second major in Japanese.

She was fortunate enough to be mentored by respected jeweller Flick Pope at Designs by Flick, and she features in the book Handmade in Melbourne (second edition), a book showcasing Melbourne’s ‘most creative artisans and craftspeople’.

Caroline draws inspiration from nature, childhood and simplicity of form.

She revels in working playful, absurd and sometimes poignant quotes from classic children’s literature into her jewellery.

A year spent immersed in Japanese culture and language also informs much of her design aesthetic (and everyday life), and her long-term studio companion, a cockatiel named Percy, has also been known to spark ideas.

Hearing the stories behind clients’ commission requests also gives Caroline much joy – be they funny in-jokes and sayings, or stories about special people, events and adventures.

Whether you want to remember a special person or moment in time, she can work with you to create your own unique, bespoke memento.
